Filippo Pietroni

Filippo Pietroni
PhD student

Research Areas

His research activity concerns instrumentation and methodologies for microclimate analysis and indoor human thermal comfort. These aspects regard development of embedded solutions and ad-hoc graphical user interfaces. His interest is focused on the integration between microclimate parameters measurements (e.g. Air Temperature, Relative Humidity, Air Velocity, Solar Radiation, Surface Temperatures) and biomedical measurements for human thermal comfort (e.g. Heart Rate, Breathing Rate).

Capsule Bio

Filippo Pietroni received the Laurea degree (cum laude) in Biomedical Engineering at Università Politecnica delle Marche, in 2011. His thesis entitled “Progetto e sviluppo di un sistema di misura per il monitoraggio della temperatura in terapia intensiva neonatale” has been developed at the DIISM (Department of Industrial Engineering and Mathematical Sciences) of the Univerisità Politecnica delle Marche. He received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering and Management from Università Politecnica delle Marche with a thesis entitled “Development and validation of a low-cost tool for real-time thermal comfort monitoring in indoor environments“.

Since 2015, he is a research fellow at the DIISM of the Università Politecnica delle Marche.
