Research areas

Study and optimization of injection systems for large parts manufactured by injection molding.
The research project is focused on the study of new design solutions for the construction of moulds for large containers, with the aim of reducing the costs of the mold and the costs associated with the production process.
Mechanical characterization of injection-moulded polymers
The research focuses on the study of the mechanical behavior of polymers as a function of the injection molding parameters. The characterization is carried out under both quasi-static and dynamic deformation conditions, at different test temperatures, on samples manufactured with different process settings.

Capsule bio

Emanuele Farotti was born in Macerata (MC) on 19 January 1992. He graduated from the Polytechnic University of Marche in Ancona with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2014, and a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2016. In November 2016 he began his PhD in Industrial Engineering at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Mathematical Sciences (DIISM) of the Polytechnic University of Marche. His scientific research activity mainly concerns the mechanical characterization of injection molded polymers under different test conditions, and the study of the molding process of large components.
