Measurement on Internal Combustion Engine

In the Measure laboratory for internal combustion engines, some non-invasive measuring techniques are developed and tested on high-performance engines.
In particular, the laboratory consists of a bench for dragging the distribution of engines by means of an electric motor, even up to high revs.

Application of in-plane and rotational laser Doppler vibrometers for the belt vibration control

 
Modal analysis of the timing belt exploiting data measured by a high resolution and high speed camera in folded-optics modality.
 

Quality control of Valvetrain motion in firing conditions by in-plane LDV:
