Alice Mugnini

Ph.D. student - ING-IND/10 (XXXIII ciclo, 2017 - 2020)

Prof. Fabio Polonara

Research areas

Her research activity is part of the PRIN Project "Clean heating and cooling technologies for an energy efficient Smart Grid" whose objective is to provide useful tools for the implementation of the "Smart Grid" on the demand side. The research activity is mainly focused on:

  • Quantification of the energy flexibility that can be obtained from the management of the thermal demand in buildings;

  • Modelling, through Model Predictive Control (MPC) of control strategies and optimized management of this flexibility;

  • Study and modelling of innovative solutions for heating and cooling of districts aimed at maximizing energy efficiency and flexibility.
